Observing, drawing, and designing have always been a huge part of my life. Almost anything would have triggered an idea for me to sketch or create , from curtains to a dress, tree twigs to a house. Having children has allowed me to revisit picture books with their nostalgic scents and transported me back to my first affection for illustrations and storytelling. I gravitate towards bright, intense colors. Influenced by my background in architecture, I visualize in 3D, leaning towards paper collage. Cutting each character out and then placing them together to create a narrative makes me feel like I am bringing the story and their personalities to life . Fascinated by human characters, furry creatures, and velvet mushrooms, I like my illustrations to be emotionally expressive, full of movement and uplifting, with a hint of humor. Drawing on my experience as a fashion designer, I love to depict the essence of fabrics and textures of different materials. Originally from the Czech Republic . I lived in the UK and am currently residing in Gibraltar.
